Greyhound Riders
Canadian folk/roots duo, Greyhound Riders write original, sophisticated folk-based music with a twist of jazz, a touch of newgrass and a hint of old-time. They call it Canadiana.
Their Story:
Celina and Tony met on the Greyhound bus heading from Toronto to London, Ont in 2011. Soon after, they fell in love and formed their progressive folk-duo, Greyhound Riders. Canadian Grandmasters Fiddle Competition invitee, Celina is an Ontario Old-Time Fiddler, bandleader and educator. She owns a music lessons studio in London, Ontario, leads the Great Canadian Fiddle Show and the (Toronto) Fiddle Collective. She brings her strong traditional fiddling and folk background to the band. Tony is a Juno nominated, established Canadian multi-instrumentalist and composer. He is a busy session player, stage musician and music teacher. Tony's progressive rock and modern jazz experience adds a sophisticated and nuanced element to their music.
